These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Dots & Lines (“we,” “us,” “our”). By engaging our services, you (“Customer”) agree to the following:

Services

We provide general contracting and home improvement services, including remodeling, finish carpentry, decks, fences, gazebos, and painting. The scope of work will be set out in your signed estimate or contract.

Estimates & Pricing

• Estimates are provided in good faith. Final costs may vary based on project scope, site conditions, and material selections.
• Any changes requested by the Customer after work begins may result in additional charges.

Payments

• A minimum deposit of 30% is required before work begins.
• Progress payments and/or the final balance are due as outlined in your agreement.
• Late or missed payments may result in interest charges and/or project delays.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

• Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable, as they cover scheduling, planning, and upfront material costs.
• Cancellations: If the Customer cancels before work begins, we may, at our sole discretion, retain part or all of the deposit to cover administrative and preparation expenses.
• Work in Progress: Once a project has started, refunds are not available. The Customer remains responsible for all scheduled payments and any additional fees for work already completed or materials purchased.
• Quality Guarantee: If workmanship issues arise, please notify us promptly. Within reason and where justifiable, we will make every effort to correct deficiencies in line with our warranty and service standards.

Warranties

We take pride in the quality of our workmanship and aim to deliver results you will be happy with. If you identify a workmanship concern, you must notify us in writing within a reasonable time after the issue is discovered. We will assess the concern and, if it falls within the reasonable scope of our work, we will make efforts to resolve it fairly and promptly.

Please note that warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, natural variations in materials, damage caused by misuse, neglect, third parties, or external factors such as weather. Our commitment is to work with you in good faith to address legitimate concerns, but this does not extend to free additional work, upgrades, or issues outside the original agreed scope.

Liability

We complete every project with care and in accordance with safety standards. However, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages beyond the scope of the agreed work.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
